BankingMorocco’s national currency is the Dirham (MAD). The dirham is divided into 100 centimes. It is forbidden by law to import or export the Moroccan Dirham. Non-resident foreigners may freely exchange the imported currency at the banks or at any authorized institution.
ATM and EFT-POS machines accept all major credit cards.
There are no restrictions on transferring foreign capital to Morocco. All banks in Morocco have connections with international banks and financial institutions to ensure timely transfer of funds.
Film production companies shooting in Morocco are eligible to open convertible dirham bank accounts, without any restriction, in any Moroccan bank. Production funds can be transferred back into the currency of origi
